Rainbow Village
Rainbow Village in Dumaguete, Philippines,
began as a group of Christian women aware of the need for a shelter for abandoned babies. They started praying
for guidance and direction for a shelter. The Kimball family came to Dumaguete City in 1990 as missionaries. They also
had a vision for an orphanage and felt directed by God to open their home for foster care to meet the need of abandoned/needy babies in Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental.
In 1995 Rainbow acquired land to build a permanent facility for their programs. Their
plans of expansion included care for older children. Rainbow Village now provides
care, services, and nurturing in Christian discipleship to children of all ages.
