phil It is awesome to see how God has blessed the ministry here at the Bible College in Hungary. Not only does He continue to bless the work here through His Spirit and Word, but now the school has received international accreditation through the EU. Check out the story at the College website. www.ccbce.com/degree

News from Ken Dinnen

clock November 2, 2009 16:23 by author bryonmondok

Wow! What a semester this has been. CCA has undergone a lot of changes. The parents are doing some homeschooling along with classroom instruction. The amount of homeschooling depends on the grade level. I am teaching 5th, 6th, 9th, & 12th grades. A lot of 12th grade is being done through dvd curriculum, and then I review with them. It has been a challenge. I am also spending some time with the 12th grader, Aaron. We meet once a week to talk about the names of God and how God is revealing His character to us. Where we see the names of God it is through someone experiencing that part of God in the Bible. It is my heart to experience the Lord. I am leading Aaron through this to guide Him to experience the Lord in a new fresh way.
I have continued to reach out to the Bible College students establishing relationships. I can definitely see the Lord continuing to develop the love for discipleship in my heart. The time I spend with the Bible College students is some of my favorite times because of work of the Word of God and Spirit in their lives. It is a blessing to be a part of. I thank the Lord to be included in a ministry that He has blessed so abundantly. See below for more details.

Village Outreach

ImageA group of us went to a house in the village to help pick corn for the harvest. The old man recently lost his wife. It is only him and his daughter to pick the whole field. We were able to bless him and finish the field in about three hours. It is a neat picture to see me in a corn field. It definitely isn't something you see in Fort Lauderdale. Some of the kids also went to help, which was neat for them to be a part of. We continue to reach out into the village and help out wherever we can.

CCBCE recently accredited!

It has been an amazing testimony of God's blessing and work in the ministry here in Hungary. The Bible College has been accredited and will soon be offering a Bachelor's degree in theology. It will be starting in the Fall of 2010. God's grace and blessing on this ministry continues to amaze me. I am excited to see how He is going to use this to further His Kingdom.

My New Gig

clock January 5, 2009 23:47 by author bryonmondok

imageCoinciding with my move back to Florida was a change in my job description. My official new title with Shepherd's Staff Mission Facilitators is Regional Mission Pastor.

Meeting with missionaries is the part of my job I love the most. While I enjoy the administrative side of providing missionary care, nothing beats sitting down at a table filled with lunch with a guy or gal fresh from the field. Today I met with Ken Dinnen, a missionary sent out from Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale.

Dinnen serves in Vajta, Hungary, at Calvary Christian Academy. The Calvary Christian Academy is the Eastern European outpost of CC Ft. Lauderdale's Calvary Christian Academy. Dinnen is a teacher at CCA, Vajta.

Dinnen is part of the staff that teaches the children of Pastors and Missionaries at Calvary Chapel Bible College. Not only is he working in the classroom, he participates in outreaches regularly and has launched a youth ministry serving both missionary kids and locals. He gives Bible teaching and godly guidance to both groups.

"It's the perfect environment for making disciples," Says Dinnen. "I'm being discipled while I make disciples."

Dinnen's excitement and passion are infectious as he shares about his work. "I'm a part of giving the students that come to Hungary a bigger view of the world."

Keep up with Ken as he update's his blog. Pray for his work and the lives he'll touch.
